The big issue I think is going to be if they decided to mess with the story at all. If you have seen Doom or Mortal Kombat i really don't think that the acting was really that bad I think what really messed the movie up was that it went on to a completely different direction that it was supposed to. For an example, Doom was a killer game but when the movie came out I wanted to get my money back because they completely messed the plot up. Kratos is someone way too ruthless, a man on a mission to kill and destroy anything that crosses his path. The Rock & Vin, just don't fit. Someone mentioned the guy from Troy->i don't this someone who's that large would be quick enough to perform the moves Kratos can do (think of the back roll). We need someone tall to an extent, someone not overly built, someone who can truly potray the enormous strength of a "small-god"-> opening huge doors, pulling object 3x their size, pushing large statue and jumping up cliff and mountains. Where to find such a man is the question... if you can find him, forget the movie coz its gonna suck with Vin or the rock. You can find his info @ http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0186743/. He starred in Blade II as the hammer-wielding vampire in the Blood Pack, allied with Blade during the movie. Alternatively, the actor who played Nomak, Luke Goss, would also be a suitable Kratos. Just please, no more Vin Diesel or Dwayne Johnson. Let them body slam each other on the hoods of Supras and leave this role to someone else less easily typecast. The rock is way to cheesy to be doing anything other then wrestling,and does not look intence enough for this roll. When I look at the rock i don't think movie star i think wrestler/scorpion king and we know how that worked out.Jason statham who? ive never heard of this guy so i can't say he wouldnt be good.
